Be Safe - Be Seen Program

On October 18, Constable Boonstra came to present at a "Be Safe, Be Seen, Be Smart" Assembly for our Swift Students. She told them about how to stay safe when out walking and the importance of wearing bright, reflective clothing, carrying a flashlight and to walk facing traffic. She also emphasized the importance of being smart and aware of your surroundings while walking by watching for drivers turning at intersections, crossing safely at designated crosswalks, and only when the light is green, making eye contact with drivers, removing headphones and staying off your phone while crossing.

With Daylight Saving ending and the days getting dark earlier and Halloween coming up soon, please go over these important points with your children and be good examples of how to "Be Safe, Be Seen, Be Smart".
