Ms. Kenney's Christmas Letter
Dear Swift Families,
This will be the last bit of school news sent home for 2021! It is hard to believe! Thank you for your continued support, we couldn’t do what we do every day without the support of parents and families. From all of us to all of you we would like to wish your families a wonderful holiday season – regardless of what holiday you celebrate, we certainly hope it is one filled with love, laughter, and memories to last a lifetime. Relax, rest up, stay healthy, we will see you in 2022!
From All of Us, to All of You - Merry Christmas!
Food Bank Collection – Thank you!
While the holiday season can be an exciting one for many of us, for some it comes with its challenges. As a community we made an incredible donation to the Food Bank completely filling one bin and putting a good dent into a second. Thank you for your generosity. We also collected over $200 in cash donations.
Christmas Fun Day – Wow! – Thank You!
What an amazingly fun and festive day we had on December 6th. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who made this day a success! Giggles of glee, and “this was the best day” could be heard through the halls, and it would not have been possible without you! A HUGE thank you to our organizers – this was no small feat, and it was done with grace!
Virtual Christmas Concert – On the website!
Our 2021 Swift Christmas Concert was released to families yesterday – it can be found on our website at: https://swift.abbyschools.ca/news/swift-2021-virtual-christmas-concert We kindly ask that you do not download or share the videos on your personal social media accounts. Thank you!

Travel and other Covid Related Information
Below you will find the letter which was sent to all Abbotsford School District families yesterday from Superintendent Kevin Godden. There is a lot of information regarding notifications over the holidays as well as links to information regarding international travel, especially with children. Please be sure to refer to it if you have any questions on either of these matters.
Quick Hitting Reminders as we head into the Holidays:
- Young Lungs At Work – please turn off your car when waiting in the pick-up/drop-off lanes. These are “idle free zones”
- Strong Start Changes! – all Strong Start sessions will be indoors until after Spring Break. Once sunshine returns, the Thursday walks in Bateman Park will return!
- Masks, Masks, Masks – please send a mask or 2 with your child each day!
- Bring your rain gear!! – our winter weather is here! Please send outdoor gear to keep kids warm and dry. We do not have enough clothes to help out mud puddle accidents – only bathroom accidents!
- Parking and Being Good Neighbours - while we understand that parking can be tricky – we must be good neighbours! Please ensure you are:
- Not blocking driveways in the cul-del-sacs or on nearby roads.
- Not double parking in the cul-de-sacs
- Not parking in the Drop-Off Lane
Upcoming Important Dates in December & January:
