You must register at your Catchment School. If you are unsure about which is your catchment school, use this app to help: School Locator.
Enter your child's primary home address into our School Locator portal to determine your neighbourhood catchment school. Families must register first with their neighbourhood catchment school, regardless of where they may want to send their child.

Parents MUST provide all of the following REQUIRED information for each child they are registering. Click Here for a print out of this list.
Registration will be considered complete when a parent/guardian has provided all the required supporting documents (proof of address, birth certificate etc.) along with a fully completed Student Registration form. Submission of these documents may be through the online registration portal, or by submitting registration documents via email or in person. Incomplete registrations will not be processed.

The Students who live in the Dr. Thomas Swift catchment will be able to choose Nature or Regular Kindergarten when they register. Students who wish to attend Nature Kindergarten who are Out of Catchment will need to follow the Out of Catchment process below.
All Kindergarten students MUST register at their catchment school first. If you are interested in having your child attend the Swift Nature Program, you will need to apply through the District Out of Catchment process using t his form: out of catchment form (AP 336-3). Applications will be received by the requested school starting at February 1, 2026. As the principal of your In Catchment school MUST sign the form, it is a good idea to include that in your Kindergarten Registration at your Home School. This will also alert your Home School of your intention. You may bring the SIGNED Out of Catchment form to Swift on or after February 1, 2026. All Out of Catchment forms are date and time stamped. An application does not guarantee acceptance.
In order to volunteer in any aspect of your child's school day, (hot lunch days, reading groups, field trips, Nature walks, etc) you will need to have a valid Criminal Record Check done through our School Board Office and the Ministry of Justice. Please CLICK HERE for more info. This process can be lengthy so please follow the instructions on the Volunteer page as soon as possible. The Kindergarten classes often go on field trips for Fall and you will need to have this process completed to help out.
