Track & Field

The grade 4 and 5 students will once again be participating in the Zone Track Meet. Participation is  the culminating event of our Track and Field unit. 

The Meet will be held at Rotary Stadium in Abbotsford.

District Track Meet 2026

This is made up of 2 Events. A High Jump only event and the Track Meet at Rotary Stadium

The Hight Jump Event is held on May 27 at Sandy Hill Elementary and is only for those Grade 5 students who qualify for the High Jump. Your student will be informed if they have qualified. 

Wednesday, May 28 - Grade 5 Boys - 3:15 - 4:25 pm
                                   Grade 5 Girls - 4:30 - 5:40 pm

The Rotary Stadium event is held on June 2 at Rotary Stadium. All students are bussed from the school. The exception is those students who are running the 800 m race which starts at 8:45 am. These students need to be taken to the Rotary Stadium by their parents. All students will be bussed back to the school at 1:30 pm.

Parents are welcome to attend to watch. If you want to volunteer to help, you must have a valid Criminal Record Check and let your teacher know.

All students will have completed the Extra Curricular Sports permission in September on SchoolCash. You can check your SchoolCash history to confirm.
