Dear Swift Families,
With February almost behind us, and March just around the corner – it is hard to believe we are more than halfway through the year!
Term 2 Learning Updates will be sent home on March 13th. As we get ready to start Term 3 right after Spring Break, it is a great time to set goals to finish the year strong!
If your family is planning to leave early for Spring Break or return late, please be sure to let us know at the office. You can call (604-853-7730), email (swift@abbyschools.ca) or use Safe Arrival. Reporting ahead of time will let you enjoy your holiday without calls from the school!
Registration for 2026-2027 is open – K-5!
Registration is open for the 2026-2027 school year. There is a lot of information and different ways to register, please see our website, for all this information. Please spread the word around the community - the sooner families register, the better. It is very helpful having accurate numbers when we begin planning for next year.
Supervision Reminders
With brighter days and nicer weather, a gentle reminder that supervision before school begins at 8:15. Please do not drop off or send your kids to school with arrival before that time! Supervision after school ends at 2:40.
Field Trips Coming!
There are many field trips coming up – please keep an eye on SchoolCash Account to pay and give permission for the trip. If you need any financial assistance, please contact Ms. Kenney at the office. We are happy to help where it's needed.
Parking 101
School parking lots are never pleasant at pick up and drop off – ever. That said, working together and a little bit of patience goes a long way. When using the Pick-Up and Drop-Off Lane you must remain in your vehicle and your children need to meet you there. If you need to pick them up at their classes, please park on the surrounding streets. Please follow all posted parking signs and follow By-law regulations.
PAC News
All PAC News is now in their “PAC Gazette”. It is a great place to learn about the many amazing opportunities happening through our PAC.
Please join us at our next PAC Meeting on March 12th at 7pm in the library. Carnival is coming soon. Without a doubt it’s our biggest event of the year – and many hands make lighter work. If you are interested in helping plan the Carnival that is coming up in June, please join us at 6:00 before the regular PAC Meeting. We hope to see you there!
