Ms. Kenney's January 30 Newsletter
Dear Swift Families,
There has been an increase in dog messes not being cleaned on our field – and it’s not pretty! Please be reminded that dogs are not allowed on school grounds. If you are including a dog walk with your pick-up and drop-off routine, please pick a place off of school grounds to meet. Thank you for helping us keep our field clean.
Kindergarten Registration is On NOW!
It's hard to believe, but it is time for kindergarten registration! If you have a child or know a child who is turning 5 in 2026 this is the time to register for kindergarten!
Registration is open for the 2026-2027 school year. There is a lot of information and different ways to register, please see our website, for all this information. Any Out of Catchment families wishing to have their child join our Nature Kindergarten program will also follow the Out of Catchment process. Your child must first be registered at their Catchment school.
Please spread the word around the community - the sooner families register, the better. It is very helpful having accurate numbers when we begin planning for next year. We are looking forward to welcoming the next class of Kindergarteners to Swift!
Out of Catchment – February 2nd
Those students who live outside of the Swift catchment must complete the Out of Catchment process if they wish to stay here next year. This is an annual process. Before being returned to Swift they must be signed by the principal at your catchment school. Forms can be accepted starting at 8:30 on Monday February 2nd. They will be timestamped and listed in the order that they are received.
The first Out of Catchment review will be in early March.
If your address has changed since September, please ensure you update the office.
Lost and Found
The latest batch of lost and found has been posted to the website – please check and see if anything belongs at your house! There are MANY wonderful items that are missing their home. The items posted will be donated over Family Day weekend in February.
