Dear Swift Families,
Have a wonderful Spring Break! We will see you on March 30th!
If you are planning on extending your holiday, please remember to report your absence in advance. This can be done on SafeArrival, by emailing the office or by calling the school at 604-853-7730.
The office will be open most of Spring Break from 9:00 – 2:30. Please call ahead to make sure someone is in the office to help. The office will be closed Friday March 20th and Monday March 23rd.
Registration for 2026-2027 is open – K-5!
Registration is open for the 2026-2027 school year. There is a lot of information and different ways to register, please see our website, for all this information. Please spread the word around the community - the sooner families register, the better. It is very helpful having accurate numbers when we begin planning for next year.
Nature Strong Start Returns!
Beginning April 2, Strong Start will be back outside on Thursday mornings. Please meet at Bateman Park and enjoy the Stony Creek trails together! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will continue to be in Room 116.
Summer School – Registration is open
Information about summer school is available now, and registration is open until April 20th. Summer school targets students who need an extra boost in either literacy or numeracy. It will be held this year at Godson Elementary and Clearbrook Elementary. More information is on the Summer School website.
Field Trips Coming!
There are many field trips coming up – please keep an eye on SchoolCash Account to pay and give permission for the trip. If you need any financial assistance, please contact Ms. Kenney at the office. We are happy to help where it’s needed.
Parking 101
Recently there have been many people choosing not to follow City By-Laws when dropping off and picking up – this has been particularly problematic in the Mireau cul-de-sac. Please be reminded that double parking and blocking driveways is in contravention of parking rules. The City of Abbotsford Bylaw department has been made aware of these concerns. Please follow all posted parking signs and follow By-law regulations.
Lost and Found
The current lost and found listed on the website will be sent to a thrift store at the end of next week. If you want to take a peek it’s your last chance! The Lost and Found currently in the bin will be added to the website over the break. Please (pretty please!) label your child’s belongings. We have many beautiful items in the lost and found with no way to return them!
Information from Archway
Archway has shared the food bank's updated Food Resource Map. This map is updated regularly and lists free and low-cost meal and grocery options around the city: Abbotsford Affordable & Free Food options - Google My Maps. Please share this widely- the more people that know about these resources, the better!
PAC News
PAC is gearing up for a busy Spring! Pop by the front garden on our first day back from Spring Break, Monday March 30th from 8am - 8:45am, for free coffee! Stay and chat, or java and run.

The 2nd Annual PAC Book Sale is coming up on Monday, May 4th! Doing some spring cleaning? We would love your book donations! Donations will be accepted starting March 30th. Please leave any gently used books on the bookshelf in the Swift lobby. All proceeds from the sale will go toward supporting PAC events and programs for our school community. Thank you for helping make this event a success!
