Ms. Kenney's March 30 Newsletter

March 31, 2025

Dear Swift Families,

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break. As we begin term 3, it is a great time to set goals to finish the year strong!

Please continue to pack clothes for cool and rainy weather – despite the sunny skies today, we all know the rain isn’t over for the year quite yet!

Safe Arrival

Thank you for continuing to use Safe Arrival to report student absences. It makes our mornings much more efficient when you do. If you are planning an extended Spring Break, please be sure to let us know! Please go to our website for a link and instructions. If you are unable to report your absence this way, please call the office (604-853-7730) and follow the prompts, or email the office.

Lost and Found

There are so many beautiful things in our lost and found looking for their home! Mrs. Dahl updated the Lost and Found items over Spring Break – please take a peek!

PAC News

"Thank you to all that attended and supported the Neon Dance Party on March 7th! Over $1800 was raised towards programs and events that benefit all the children.

Art Cards going home this week! Numerous options are available this year, and ordering is conveniently done online. Be sure to follow the instructions on the back of your child’s art work, if you wish to order art items that your child has created! Please place your orders and return the original art by April 14th

Join us for a Parent Paint Night this Friday April 4th from 7pm-9pm! Tickets available through the Hot Lunch website and include all materials, supplies, and unlimited mocktails! This is not a fundraiser, just a chance to connect with other Swift parents!  Grandparents/family members/friends welcome (no kids, please) as long as a parent connected to Swift purchases their ticket using the Hot Lunch website.

We will be hosting a used book sale on May 5th – details to come closer to the event! If you are cleaning out any bedrooms or playrooms this spring and have books to donate, we would happily take them off your hands! Please bring them to the bookshelf in the front entrance!

Keep up to date on all things PAC at www.taswiftpac.com. We love feedback, please email the PAC email or the PAC Fundraising email if you have any comments. Minutes from all PAC meetings can be found here.

Dogs at School – A Reminder

As the warmer weather comes, a dog walk to and from school might seem like a great idea. Please be reminded that dogs – regardless of size are NOT permitted on school grounds. If you want to add a dog walk to your pick up and drop off routine, please say good-bye or hello off of the school grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.

Parking 101

Please remember and remind family members who do pick up and drop off that when using the “Drop Off Lane” you may not park and get out of your car. Please help the traffic keep flowing. And, while things have been better in recent weeks, we continue to hear from our neighbours that members of our school community are blocking driveways, double parking, and most recently moving garbage cans to create more parking spaces. Please show our best selves, to the rest of the community.

Important Dates for the next 2 weeks – see calendar – for updates:
