Ms. Kenney's March 7 Newsletter
Dear Swift Families,
It is hard to believe that Spring Break is just around the corner. We hope everyone enjoys 2 weeks off – and rests up for the final term of this school year!
Safe Arrival
Thank you for continuing to use Safe Arrival to report student absences. It makes our mornings much more efficient when you do. If you are planning an extended Spring Break, please be sure to report your absences before you leave! Please go to our website for a link and instructions. If you are unable to report your absence this way, please call the office (604-853-7730) and follow the prompts, or email the office.
Lost and Found
There are so many beautiful things in our lost and found looking for their home! Items currently listed on the website will be donated over spring break. Items that are in the bin will be added to the website over the break as well. Please come and look through the bin before then if you know something is missing from your home!
Clothes to Donate?
Mrs. S is looking for size 5-8 pants – both girls and boys. If you’re cleaning out your closets and find any, we would love to give them a new home – just drop them by the office. Thanks!
PAC News
Our next PAC meeting is on Tuesday March 11 at 6:00, we would love to see you there!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who made the Neon Dance 2.0 a huge success. Many smiling faces have been partying in the gym tonight!
We will be hosting a used book sale on May 5th – details to come closer to the event! If you are cleaning out any bedrooms or playrooms this spring and have books to donate, we would happily take them off your hands! Please bring them to the school after spring break. There will be a bookshelf in the front entrance where you can leave them.
Keep up to date on all things PAC at www.taswiftpac.com
Dogs at School – A Reminder
In recent weeks we have noticed more dogs on the school ground at drop off and pick-up. Please be reminded that dogs – regardless of size are NOT permitted on school grounds. If you want to add a dog walk to your pick up and drop off routine, please say good-bye or hello off of the school grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parking 101
Please remember and remind family members who do pick up and drop off that when using the “Drop Off Lane” you may not park and get out of your car. Please help the traffic keep flowing. And, while things have been better in recent weeks, we continue to hear from our neighbours that members of our school community are blocking driveways, double parking, and most recently moving garbage cans to create more parking spaces. Please show our best selves, to the rest of the community.
Last Call! School Photo Ordering
School photo proofs can be viewed online. Please enter your email address and password as listed on your child’s photo card. The final date for ordering with free delivery to the school is March 15. The password is your child’s pupil number. Any questions you might have about photos should be directed to hello@paramountportraits.com
