Dear Swift Families,
How is it that June is already here? There are many activities going on. School wide activities can be found on the website. For Field Trips and other class based activities – keep an eye on your SchoolCash account and information sent home from teachers!
Thank you to our AMAZING volunteers – parents and grandparents alike. We couldn’t do many of the great things that happen at Swift without you! We were happy to share a small token of our appreciation with over 140 volunteers. Thank you!
Don’t forget to keep an eye on the school and district website for many events and important dates happening throughout the year! The calendars for the next 3 school years are also available on the District website.
Welcome Mr. Cochrane!
While Ms. Kenney is away in June, we welcome Mr. Nic Cochrane to Swift. Please be sure to say hello and welcome him to our wonderful school community. For any day to day questions or concerns you can reach out to Mr. Cochrane at the office.
Lost and Found – New Items Posted!
All the lost and found items that have been collected this spring are now posted on the website. Please take a peek and email if something is yours! All instructions for claiming items are posted. These items will be donated after June 27th.
Any items that are in the bin between May 21st and the end of the year will be donated on July 3rd. Please continue to check the bin, and help us out by labelling your child’s belongings – especially outerwear and sweatshirts that tend to get taken off outside at recess and lunch!
Strong Start News!
The last day for Strong Start will be Friday June 21st. To finish up the year together we will have a Potluck in the Park on Thursday June 20th after our Nature Walk.
PAC News
The Carnival is right around the corner. Wristband presales ended Friday, May 31st on the HotLunch site. Tickets will still be available at the gate. Cash is preferred on the day of thee Carnival but we will have tap available for concession, raffles and 50/50. Carnival information is available on the school website.
Please get your orders in on the HotLunch site for the Hot Lunch on Sports Day. Pac will be providing 1 pizza and 1 milk for lunch, as well as juice and granola bars for recess snack. If you think your child will want more pizza at lunch, you can order additional pizza on the HotLunch website no later than June 5th. If you don’t order cheese pizza will be provided for your child.
Kindergarten and New Student (Gr. 1-5) Registration Is Ongoing
Registration for those starting Kindergarten or who will be new to Swift in grades 1-5 in September is open. There are a variety of ways to register, please see our website for information.
Please spread the word around the community - the sooner families register, the better. It is very helpful having accurate numbers as we plan for next year.
School Supplies for 2024 – 2025
Supply lists for next year are posted on the website and ready to go. Ordering can be done directly through SchoolStart with delivery to your house.
Dogs on School Property
In recent weeks we have noticed more dogs on the school ground at drop off and pick-up. Please be reminded that dogs – regardless of size are NOT permitted on school grounds – this is for student safety and security. If you want to add a dog walk to your pickup and drop off routine, please say good-bye or hello off the school grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
