Ms. Kenney's November 22 Newsletter!
Dear Swift Families,
As we come to the end of our first term of school, it’s hard to believe that December is just around the corner. There will be many events leading up to the holidays, please be sure to keep an eye on the calendar and any emails that are sent from the school.
Lost and Found
Please check the Lost and Found – there are many things wanting to be returned to their home! Please email to claim your items.
Cuddle Up and Read
Mrs. Thurmer is looking for parents or grandparents who would like to “cuddle up and read” with students. This is an opportunity to support some of our kids who need a little boost in reading or just some extra time supporting their reading development. If you are interested in helping, and have a completed Criminal Record Check, please email Mrs. Thurmer.
PAC News – Call for Donations and Volunteers!
Thank you for your support and participation in our latest Hot Chocolate and Cookie Day in the garden, it was an amazing success.
Also, thank you to everyone who has donated items or money for the Christmas Raffle Basket fundraiser. We still need more to build phenomenal baskets, please consider sending an item or money into your child's teacher by Tuesday November 26th. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we're working hard to raise enough to have a permanent sensory path painted on the outdoor blacktop in April. Together we can make it happen!
There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes to get ready for our Christmas Fun Day on December 6th. Thank you to all who have volunteered to be a part of the magic that day. We would love a few more volunteers – please fill out this form. We are looking forward to a festive day!
We are looking for some Christmas Elves to help decorate the school for the holidays on November 29th from 2:30pm - 4pm. No CRC required! Smaller elves must remain with you and supervised, but are welcome to be part of the magic :) If you can help, email taswiftpac@gmail.com.
The Night Market is on December 6th with an amazing line up of vendors! Take a sneak peek at www.taswiftpac.com/night-market

Dogs at School – A Reminder
In recent weeks we have noticed more dogs on the school ground at drop off and pick-up. Please be reminded that dogs – regardless of size are NOT permitted on school grounds. If you want to add a dog walk to your pick up and drop off routine, please say good-bye or hello off of the school grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parking 101
Please remember, and remind family members who do pick up and drop off that when using the “Drop Off Lane” you may not park and get out of your car. Please help the traffic keep flowing. And, while things have been better in recent weeks, we continue to hear from our neighbours that members of our school community are blocking driveways, double parking, and most recently moving garbage cans to create more parking spaces. Please show our best selves, to the rest of the community.
