Meet the Teacher Evening - September 29th
Our Meet the Teacher evening will be on September 29th from 5:00 – 6:00. We invite you to come and say a quick hello to many of our amazing teachers – your children can lead you through the school as you complete a Meet the Teacher Bingo card.
Orange Shirt Day – September 29th
We will be observing Orange Shirt Day on September 29th as we are not in school on September 30th, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Orange Shirt Day was started by residential school survivor Phyllis (Jack) Webstad as she retold the story of her new orange shirt being taken from her when she arrived at a residential school. Supervision Reminders
A gentle reminder that supervision before school begins at 8:15. Please do not drop off or send your kids to school with an arrival before that time! Supervision after school ends at 2:40.
Summer Reading Challenge – Last Chance!
If you completed the summer reading challenge don’t forget to bring in your sheet! They can be given to your teacher or brought to the office by Monday September 28th. We will be celebrating all those who finished at the end of next week!
Demographic & Reunification Forms
Student Demographic and Reunification forms were sent home last week – thank you to all the families who have already returned them! If you haven’t, please do so as soon as possible!
School Cash Account
Please be sure to set up your School Cash account. Each child needs to be added to your account. All school-based payments are made here, and all permission forms will be completed here as well. If you haven’t yet set up your account or need a refresher, information is on the website.
News from the PAC
What an incredible start of the year! We enjoyed seeing many smiling faces for our Coffee in the Garden morning and look forward to seeing more of you on September 29th at Meet the Teacher night! PAC will have a booth, please come by and say hello!
The Community Matters Coupon Book sale is ongoing. Sales end on October 4th. Please place your orders through your Hot Lunch account. Don’t forget you need a new account each year – information including the access code is here
Mark your calendars for some fun events coming soon! October 17th will be our Neon dance party! Tickets will be on sale soon, with more details to follow.
The PAC is looking for your input in ways to support the school with our Gaming Funds. These funds have strict rules in how they can be used. If you have any ideas, please complete this form. Ideas that meet the gaming criteria will be discussed at the next PAC meeting
