Dear Swift Families,

As we push through to the end of the year, we wanted to be sure everyone had information regarding our Food Drive, Christmas Concert and Festive Fridays

Food Drive

Our Bin arrived yesterday!  In the spirit of giving we are collecting food items and money for the Archway Food Bank. You can check out the Archway Food Bank Website to find out what is most needed. Some of the items they list include: canned soups, beans, pasta and sauce, tuna, cereal, diced tomatoes, chick peas. This list is updated regularly.
We will also have a donation jar if you prefer to give cash. Donations to our Food Bank jar will not be issued a receipt.
Our hope is that we can fill the first bin with items between now and December 14th when we will receive a fresh bin to fill up on the Christmas Concert Day. Let's keep up the Swift tradition of generosity.

Christmas Concert – December 15th

We are excited to be able to have a traditional concert this year after a 2-year break. We know you are all eager to see your children perform, but we do only have so much space!
We will be hosting 2 shows – 1:00pm and 6:00pm. We ask that you choose 1 show to attend, not both, and that if you’re available in the afternoon, you join us for that show.
Afternoon Show
Doors will open for the afternoon show at 12:30 pm. Please enter through the front door and the main door of the gym. Parking for the afternoon performance will be on the street only. If you can possibly walk to the performance, please do. If you do need to drive, please be considerate of our neighbour's driveways. Do NOT park in the drive thru lane or in the Fire Access Lane or on the school property at all and leave Handicap parking for those who need it. 
You can pick your child up from their classroom door as per usual at the end of the day.
Evening Show
When dropping off your child for the evening concert, please bring them to their classroom for no later than 5:45.
The front doors will open at 5:30 pm for both drop off and seating in the gym. All students will enter their classroom through the inside hallway doors and be picked up at their inside door at the end of the show, around 7:15. Parents enter and leave the gym via the main doors. The gym will be very full. Please be patient with each other. Parking on school property will be limited. Please respect our neighbourhood by not blocking driveways and fire hydrants. Please leave the drive thru lane and fire access lanes open. Please leave Handicap parking for those who need it.
We appreciate your support of our Food Drive. A suggested “admission” to our Christmas Concerts is ONE Non-Perishable Food Donation item or Cash Donation per person attending. 

Festive Fridays

We have 2 more “Festive Fridays” before the holidays.
December 9th – Dress in your best festive wear – red, green, sweaters or head wear are but a few ideas.
December 16th – PJ Day – come in your coziest PJs for the last day of school. PAC will be providing a juice box and cookies to each student.
