Halloween Safety and Inclusivity in #AbbySchools

As Halloween approaches, students and staff across the Abbotsford School District are excited to celebrate with costumes, creativity, and community spirit. To ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive Halloween for everyone, we encourage families to keep the following tips in mind:

Respecting Diversity in Costumes

Halloween is a time for fun and imagination, and we want to make sure our costumes reflect respect and consideration for all cultures, beliefs, and identities. Costumes should avoid elements that might cause harm or offend others, including:

Dear Swift Families,

This week is an exciting week – Halloween & Diwali! We are looking forward to a week of celebration!

Halloween & Diwali

With Halloween just around the corner we would like to send a couple of reminders. Students are welcome to wear their costumes or orange and black to school on Thursday – please do not send weapons, masks or any pieces that might get lost. Also, please be sure that costumes are school appropriate.

Ms. Kenney's September 27 Newsletter

Dear Swift Families,

It’s hard to believe that October is already here! Fall days are coming which means a change of weather. Please send your kids to school ready to be outside for recess and lunch – we go out in all weather conditions unless it is incredibly stormy! It is always a good idea to have an extra pair of socks and pants in backpacks – wet feet and wet pants aren’t a lot of fun. While we have some extras at school, we save them for those unexpected bathroom accidents, not puddle fun!
